We were delighted to discover this cozy ice cream spot in Harlem. They offer a fantastic variety of flavors, including vegan options for those with lactose intolerance. We tried the passion fruit flavor, which was both delicious and not overly sweet. The friendly customer service made the experience even better. Don't miss out on this gem when you're in the area!
I'm a fan of ice cream. That's my favorite dessert. I tried Sugar Hill in Harlem once and instantly became a customer. Employees are so nice, the flavors are original and very good. One of the best ice cream in NYC, definitely. Highly recommend.
Freaking amazing flavors! I highly recommend this ice-cream shop!
I love ice-cream. Well, in Europe I love ice-cream. In the US it’s more complicated… because I like simple flavors like pistachio or hazelnut and American ice-cream usually are more complex with lots of ingredients in the same ice-cream flavor.
Therefore, when we arrived to Sugar Hill Creamery, I thought I wouldn’t be able to pick anything. But at the end I settled for Harlem sweeties (salted caramel, brownie and butterschotch morsels) and Your neck of the woods (cookies and cream, sweet potato and pecan graham crust). And I was really surprised because all these indredients match very well and the result definitelyis pleasing.
The structure of the ice-cream was good, the ice-cream didn’t melt immediately and there were no ice chunks, which often happen when an ice-cream contain solid parts like cookies or cake.
There’s some contruction work on the building of the Harlem venue but that’s nobody’s fault and, despite that, the venue is still nice to chill in. It even has a corner for kids to play.
The only negative point probably is the price. $5 for 1 small scoop or $7.25 for 2 is pretty expensive.

Amazing flavors and a diverse and inventive selection featuring classics and flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Run by a local Harlem family with great service in a cozy setting. Can’t ask for more than that. Thank you Sugar Hill Creamery!
There are very good fruit flavors as well as creamy chocolate flavors. There is limited seating indoors and more seating outdoors.
Outrageously good ice cream, one of my all time favorites for sure. Insanely good texture, amazing flavors, perfect sweetness all with good portions and decent prices.
They usually have 10 flavors with 1-2 vegan options and also have multiple toppings and allow sampling as well. Ample seating is there both outside and inside the shop.
I had blueberry cheesecake, strawberry basil with lemoncurd and peach cobbler. I loved all three of them, especially the flavor of the blueberry cheesecake, combination of basil and strawberry and the small pieces of peach cobbler in its ice cream.
I will definitely revisit multiple times.
They also have lemonade, iced tea, shakes, floats, sundaes etc.
Cute place, some interesting flavor and not many ice cream place like this in Harlem imo. But I would say the store is a little messy would love it more if you don’t see a bunch of stuff thru the window and when visiting around 9:30 pm, I can smell cleaning products
